Day by day rain predictions
I love knowing when it's about to rain and this app is great.... :)
But it would be good to know roughly what time it may start raining at.
So let's say that rain is predicted 12pm and in checking the app at 9am... then I can choose whether I want to go out or not.2 votesI just don’t have the data for that at the moment

Choose location
Choose location without having to turn on gps
25 votesI don’t see a viable reason for adding this in, the app needs your exact location or it is way to inaccurate.

Circular came and went. Could have been good.
Ps layout people zoom on watch dial would be good when in radar.

I would like that too, but it’s not on the cards at the moment

Choose alternative location
Could this integrate with a map so you can choose an alternative location - eg your grandmas house who is wanting me to go and mow the lawns - it would be helpful for me to know if I was about to get rained on before I started heading there! Or when I'm at work or a friends house, can choose my location as my house so I know if I need to bail to bring the washing in
28 votesWe don’t plan to add this as a feature, at least not in the app. We may be looking to add such a feature a paid feature for business users.

Alerts when a cool change moves through on a very hot day or after heatwaves
During summer on extremely hot days, or post heatwaves, when a property is closed up and air conditioning is running, an alert that a cooling breeze and rapid temperature drop has just occurred outside notifies users to turn air-conditioning off and open up the premises for fresh air and free cooling. Save energy / money / reduce emissions etc.
9 votesIt’s a good suggestion, I’m not exactly sure how it would work though. At this stage I think it would complicate the app too much, but I’ll keep it in mind

MuIFTTT
Hello, firstly love the app.
I would like the app to incorporate the IFTTT capability...
Cheers
Kane2 votesUnfortunately adding IFTTT support would cost us $3000USD a year, plus all the development costs. I don’t see it as being feasible at this stage. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Maps
We should be able to type in a location so it isn't so difficult to see where you are on the map if you don't live in a large town.
5 votesThe app will use your current location, you don’t need to be in a town for it to work – you can be in the middle of the bush and as long as there is radar within about 200km and you have phone reception it will work fine.

There is already a legend for the colours at the top of the map. I don’t have a data source for the lightning so I can’t add that at the moment.

Time or Temp?
Could we please get an am/pm and or degrees symbols on the hourly forecast ribbon? I'm still not 100% sure what's what there.

If we add this feature it will be a premium feature not in the standard app.

Lightning
Show lightning strikes

API to home automation
I'm using Domoticz for home automation, and I've been using this app for a long time now, its awesome! I would love to have my home automation know when rain is approaching, and if currently raining or not. Then I could have alerts from the home automation, if a window is open tell me to close it as rain is approaching. I'd be happy to pay for this service and I am sure there are many others who would be interested too. I came across a thread on domoticz forum about a guy in the Netherlands doing it but only…

Make the map zoomable
I would like to zoom into the radar map on my iPhone, can you enable pinch/zoom/pan on the map
3 votesI did actually build this into a prototype, but it doesn’t work half as well as you would think it would. Basically it gives no extra data, it just blurs it more.

Give more description of icons...
Like the arrow on the middle of "viewbank", i have no idea what it presents.

Clearer labelling of numerical data
Even after reading the iTunes app description, Googling and browsing Rain Partot, checking screenshots, watching the promo video, checking the Twitter stream, and combing uservoice entries I still have a very poor idea of what the various numbers are, especially the forecasting screen. Some screenshots show an am/pm suffix to numbers (not in the actual app tho), so the upper row must be 'time', and i assume s the next 3 days worth. Lower row could be temp at that time, but is still inconsistent with any forecast high/low temps shown lower on the same screen. Basically, i'm assuming numbers…
2 votesI’m sure you can figure most of it out. It’s using your system localisation settings, after all.

More info about radar timing
We can't tell if radar is last 10 minutes or next 10 minutes or even last hour or next hour. Would be good to know what time frame we are looking at when viewing the radar loop
6 votesIt is always the last 6 minutes. It can’t look ahead.

Crowd sourced weather reports
Feedback via the app, by users, could be used to augment/update forecasts and warnings. If it starts to rain 10 mins ahead of the forecasted time, and users in the path of the weather report this, then the app could use that info, together with direction of travel (of the rain front) and historical rain variance along a path (I.e topographical impact) to tweak the weather predictions. A kind of AI learning.
3 votesThe system is already quite complex, I don’t think this would be worth the additional time and complexity, as I do not think it would alter the predictions much.

Android version please?
Be nice for us missing out. I get jealous when the guy at work gets alerts on his iphone.
5 votesSorry, at this stage it’s not likely.
