Add more radars
I am in the Lockyer Valley and Toowoomba, the app is using Brisbane radar and saying I am too far from the radar for accurate predictions (It has rained and no notifications at all). There is no option for me to use the much closer Marburg radar.
27 votesAt the moment there is some complex logic for choosing the correct radar – I’ll look into tweaking it if there is a closer radar, even if that is of a lower quality image.

I take it yo mean the force touch settings – that could be interesting, maybe once I get a new phone I’ll look into it.

Ability to change the alert to a ringtone
I often miss the short alerts especially if my phone is not on me. Having a long alert like a ringtone would be fantastic and set this product apart from all other rain alarms. I need an alert that can wake me at night if I have my telescope setup.

Show the time that it will rain
This could be and option to display 'light rain at 2.33pm' rather than 'light rain in 44 minutes'.
27 votesI’m concerned with this behaviour as I have noticed it only serves to make the app seem more inaccurate – particularly when the storm is over 20 minutes away, as there can be several minutes of variation between each update. Using a relative time scale allows the app to fine tune the prediction without the penalty of being seen to be making such changes. Also having tested both I find a relative time scale more useful than the absolute time.

User-sourced local warnings
Another page for local warnings.
If you experience a particular "event" then you can log it in your area by choosing from a pre-determined list (eg. Flash flood, fog, hail, power outage etc.) - if a certain number of users in the same area report the same event, it then pops up on the local warnings page.
The events should also be time stamped, so we can see how long ago it was reported.
Perhaps there could be follow-up notifications on the hour to users that submitted a report, where they confirm whether or not the event is still taking…

NZ data
Would be fantastic if you could either have a separate app, or just include NZ weather data for frequent and sporting travellers. Knowing rainfall patterns is even more important for travellers, and hopefully you have a good working relationship with the NZ BOM
