Crowd sourced weather reports
Feedback via the app, by users, could be used to augment/update forecasts and warnings. If it starts to rain 10 mins ahead of the forecasted time, and users in the path of the weather report this, then the app could use that info, together with direction of travel (of the rain front) and historical rain variance along a path (I.e topographical impact) to tweak the weather predictions. A kind of AI learning.

The system is already quite complex, I don’t think this would be worth the additional time and complexity, as I do not think it would alter the predictions much.
