Lighting tracking g
I have seen that you have a few requests for this and I think it would be a great addition.
I know that in Australia Bureau of meteorology has active lighting tracking. Other weather apps like weather zone and flight radar 24 also have this feature so the data source might be more available than back in 2016. Just an idea :)Love the app btw!

Cloud Cover
Would be great to have a similar interactive/moving style map with the cloud cover. I work in the film industry and this would be a great feature to assist with if it will be a sunny day or cloudy in regions that are not raining. Just an idea from the film industry side :) great app by the way I love it and use it all the time.

Rain Parrot does not fix on my location
I live at Little Bay (on the coast south of Maroubra) but Rain Parrot shows me the weather for Sydney Airport. Although the airport is a relatively short distance from Little Bay (around 10km) the temperature is quite different- coastal versus cement runways. I don’t have a problem with GPS recognition for other weather and GPS dependent apps, only with Rain Parrot.

Change Location
I love the idea of rain parrot for slipping my bicycle commute in between the showers. To make this even better it would be good to be able to change the location so that I can see predictions on when it will rain along the route. For example the rain here usually comes from the W and my commute home from work is E to W. If I could set the location to my home and see that it isn’t expected to rain there for 40 mins then I know that I could get home dry. Leaving the location at…
71 votesWe are looking into adding additional locations on a separate page. Note we have tried this feature and it isn’t as useful as it sounds, as the rain often travels faster than you can. So by the time you arrive at your new location the rain prediction is completely different to when you left as so much time has passed.

Apple Watch screens
Last update removed two of the three Apple Watch screens, now can’t access radar and rainfall chart on the watch. Could you please fix? Otherwise a brilliant app.

Add Location
Knowing if I have to go home and take washing off the line before it rains; should travel to the soccer game or will it be washed out; drive to the beach or will I get there and turn around; go home to mow the lawn before it’s too late or just ray put are things that really make this app stand out.
I use alternate locations on other free weather apps all the time, for this paid one that looks specifically at rain, it’s a real asset to those that have invested their cash for you.27 votes -

The radar has a limited resolution, so zooming in doesn’t give you any more data, it just makes the image blurrier.

Zoom the map
I have no idea if the radar is showing rain over my location or not. I can’t even tell where my exact location is on the map (it doesn’t show my suburb).
Zoom in on the map to show details makes the information really relevant and useful. So far, I’m using the weatherzone radar map more than this one.4 votes -
Share.
What about adding the ability to share a forecast?

48hr forecast icons are difficult to see
+Make the 48hr forecast panel larger or clickable to show more details like a percentage likely hood of rain and at what time the rain should occur per hour or 2hr. Also show wind speed, wind direction, temperature etc. It's convenient to plan the day around this info.

Apple Watch complication.
Would be great to have a complication for Apple Watch advising how long until rain starts.
112 votesThe app now supports watchOS 4 and can potentially have a complication, however in testing the complications have a very small CPU and network budget, so it can only update a few times per hour, then it gets stuck on the last update. This makes it show the wrong prediction for a while. I’m looking into ways around it to reduce the CPU and network, but it is a fundamental issue with the way complications work in watchOS.

I’d love to add this feature. We are looking into additional data sources to support this.

Horizontal scroll dates
In the horizontal scroll, it is difficult to determine which day the 3 hour block is referring. Is there a way this can be made easier see?

Show rain direction on all radars
Show the approximate approach direction and timing (like is shown on the 128km radar) on all radar distances

Radar sensitivity.
Are you able to turn down sensitivity on over excited sites e.g. Namoi ( Black Jack Mountain). The two lowest indications are not actually rain, just heavy cloud. I have logged complaints with BOM a number of occasions to no avail. Their techs. could fix this easily as sensitivity is adjustable. Even shows major bushfires as rain!
1 voteI have thought about such a feature, as this may be a way of removing noise from the radar. It’s quite a lot of work, but I will keep it in mind for a future update.
