    The problem is that the radar is centred on the radar station, so by centring the map you will have to crop the radar – we can’t make up the data from no-where.

    By moving the map, we’ll just expose an area of the map that the radar does not cover. So to do that, we need to then zoom in, or use data from another radar. If we zoom in, you don’t get more data, it will just get more blurred, and if try to use another radar, then there is a likely possibility that there is not coverage.
