The problem is that the radar is centred on the radar station, so by centring the map you will have to crop the radar – we can’t make up the data from no-where.
By moving the map, we’ll just expose an area of the map that the radar does not cover. So to do that, we need to then zoom in, or use data from another radar. If we zoom in, you don’t get more data, it will just get more blurred, and if try to use another radar, then there is a likely possibility that there is not coverage.

I’d love to add this feature. We are looking into additional data sources to support this.

Cloud Cover
Would be great to have a similar interactive/moving style map with the cloud cover. I work in the film industry and this would be a great feature to assist with if it will be a sunny day or cloudy in regions that are not raining. Just an idea from the film industry side :) great app by the way I love it and use it all the time.

Apple Watch screens
Last update removed two of the three Apple Watch screens, now can’t access radar and rainfall chart on the watch. Could you please fix? Otherwise a brilliant app.

Zoom the map
I have no idea if the radar is showing rain over my location or not. I can’t even tell where my exact location is on the map (it doesn’t show my suburb).
Zoom in on the map to show details makes the information really relevant and useful. So far, I’m using the weatherzone radar map more than this one.17 votes -
Radar times (and predictions?)
It would be good to have times going along with the radar images, as seems to be common with most apps. Just makes it easier to estimate how quick rain will arrive/pass on that screen as well.
Also, the Weather Channel app has a radar prediction loop as well, which can be very useful.
Yours is certainly the nicest animation of all the ones I’ve seen, so would be great to add a few common features.
27 votesThe current design focuses on keeping the design clean and removing any information that is not required. The point of the radar page is that it is always up to date, and will let you know when the next image is arriving. The prediction page tells you when the rain is arriving.

Radar sensitivity.
Are you able to turn down sensitivity on over excited sites e.g. Namoi ( Black Jack Mountain). The two lowest indications are not actually rain, just heavy cloud. I have logged complaints with BOM a number of occasions to no avail. Their techs. could fix this easily as sensitivity is adjustable. Even shows major bushfires as rain!
2 votesI have thought about such a feature, as this may be a way of removing noise from the radar. It’s quite a lot of work, but I will keep it in mind for a future update.

The radar has a limited resolution, so zooming in doesn’t give you any more data, it just makes the image blurrier.

48hr forecast icons are difficult to see
+Make the 48hr forecast panel larger or clickable to show more details like a percentage likely hood of rain and at what time the rain should occur per hour or 2hr. Also show wind speed, wind direction, temperature etc. It's convenient to plan the day around this info.

Hourly temperatures in horizontal scroll
Expand the current days temperature to be in hourly blocks rather than summarised over 3 hour intervals. It could even be included in the settings as a more detailed option for those that might prefer it
10 votesUnfortunately getting data this accurate is tricky, typically when you see this feature they may be using tricks like interpolation (averaging) between two 3 hour data points. I have been looking for a data source that can give this but it get both expensive and technical to implement.
