Update: On the phone app, scroll to the radar page, then back to the ‘first’ page – each time this happens it will reset/resend the token.

This means that there is a communication problem with the watch and the phone. There also appears to be an issue in iOS where it gets a bit ‘confused’ and will no longer sync any data to the watch. Note this only needs to be done once, then it is good to go until you get a new phone or watch.

Try restarting the phone, or closing Rain Parrot using the task switcher.

Also try opening the watch app before the app, and vice-versa. Note that you will need to fully close the app before it will try re-sync, which may mean restarting the phone.

It’s a fiddly problem but it is resolved with a bit of playing around to get the phone to…

Personally I have found that as long as my phone is on my person I can access rain parrot on my apple watch - though it does flash the ‘sync’ page on my watch momentarily. I have a series 5 cellular watch but do not use the cellular feature as my phone is almost always on my person.
Obviously when I leave my iPhone at home and wear my watch out (which is not using cellular), my rain parrot app does not update - however, this is to be accepted, as my watch has no network to connect to in order to pull data from the app. This is why it will say ‘sync with iPhone’ or something to that effect.
If people are still getting this issue with a working cellular apple watch though, i would say in all probability that it is the fault of the app itself.

Fantastic idea - especially as parrot has decided my location is actually five suburbs away from where I live and won’t change this location no matter what I do. It would be such a relief to find my actual suburb and get the correct data (as well as other places that I may travel to after the pandemic restrictions have been lifted). Also, I can imagine it would be fantastic to instantly find and see the oncoming weather and rain in whichever destination one may be travelling to, similar to the inbuilt feature on iPhones (in the weather app), but more detailed.
Thanks and hope everyone involved in the making and workings of Parrot have a wonderful Easter if you celebrate it, or otherwise a lovely and hopefully long weekend. Stay safe and well, wishing you all the best.
