  6. Apple Watch ⌚️ Complication request

    Make available a complication which can be used in the ‘middle’ complication for the Infograph Modular.

    Use existing source data, already existing in the Rain Parrot App, to show the following 3 screens,:

    1. Radar image moving (set to same km/image update timing as selected in the App)

    2. Storm Details (with the same graphical display as in the App)

    3. Current temp (with ‘feels about’ and ‘forecast’(with reduced number of days to fit the screen real estate available)

    Plus: 4th screen - Showing the last update sent by Rain Parrot i.e. ‘Rain in 24 mins’ - along with the time it was…

  9. Timestamps for Radar

    This is a fundamental piece of information to include on the radar tab. The count down does not clearly indicate the time since the last updated image.
    Despite a developer reply to a similar request from 2018(!!), excluding the timestamp does not make for a cleaner UI.

    If the BoM posts a weather warning for a specific area, it would be nice if the app could notify the user of that warning.

  13. Rain Parrot does not fix on my location

    I live at Little Bay (on the coast south of Maroubra) but Rain Parrot shows me the weather for Sydney Airport. Although the airport is a relatively short distance from Little Bay (around 10km) the temperature is quite different- coastal versus cement runways. I don’t have a problem with GPS recognition for other weather and GPS dependent apps, only with Rain Parrot.

    We are looking into some advanced ways we can merge our current ‘actual’ data with the predicted models, that other apps use, to provide a higher accuracy solution.

    There are loads of apps that ‘fake it’ by using these models, we prefer to give the real data where possible, however we understand that this doesn’t work for everyone, particularly if you are not near a weather station.

  16. Ability to zoom BOM radar

    It’d be great if we could zoom in on the radar like other apps (Willy weather for one) as we don’t live within the 64km radius, and the 128km isn’t accurate enough. Yes, our weather is that locally variable!

  17. Google Assistant Compatibility

    For example: “Hey Google, when will it rain?”
    Response: “Rain Parrot says it will start raining in 13 minutes.”

    This would be an epic feature to have.

  18. Hourly temperatures in horizontal scroll

    Expand the current days temperature to be in hourly blocks rather than summarised over 3 hour intervals. It could even be included in the settings as a more detailed option for those that might prefer it

    Unfortunately getting data this accurate is tricky, typically when you see this feature they may be using tricks like interpolation (averaging) between two 3 hour data points. I have been looking for a data source that can give this but it get both expensive and technical to implement.
