Love the Parrot! Thanks for a great useful app. A little pedantic but ‘up’ is not needed if saying ‘increasing’ as in ‘increasing up to heavy’. Just ‘increasing to heavy’ would be better, IMHO. Thanks guys.1 vote
Done! Will update on the live service soon.
Please stop "alerting" me that I have notifications disabled EVERY TIME I use the app.
I choose to have the fewest notifications enabled in my phone. I do not need the notifications. I simply consult the app when I choose. Many apps offer the OPTION of notifications but do not PERSISTENTLY nag you if you ignore the alert.
Press the ‘Fix it’ button and it will stop prompting you.
Please. Every time I open rain parrot it NAGS me to turn on notifications. EVERY TIME. I get it. You think the notifications are good. However I don't want them. Please allow me to choose not to receive them without continually nagging me.3 votes
Middle of Melbourne CBD and it is not picking up the radar that was working yesterday. It is picking up the yarrawonga sat and not Melbourne :( No good for predicting rain, the function of the app.5 votes
The app has been using the Broadmeadows radar since the Melbourne radar is being upgraded. This radar seems to be a bit less reliable than the normal radar, but it still works.
You can adjust the app to play no sound already, in the app settings. Set all the hour options to off.
On the Rain Parrot rain forecast screen,
I'd prefer the timing to be in hours and minutes, rather than minutes only, e.g.: "Rain in 2 hours and 15 minutes" rather than "Rain in 135 minutes".18 votes
It would be excellent to see a splash of colour on weather icons to allow a very quick view of the weather for the next few hours. A bit of yellow for the sun, grey for clouds and blue for rain etc.
It would make analysing the weather patterns for the day far easier.14 votes
We’ve updated the icons to be white when rain is coming and transparent otherwise, which highlights the rain clearly.
How can I turn off unwanted notifications after hours?2 votes
If you go into the settings there are options to disable the notifications sounds for each hour of the day.
What does it means when there is showing 4 or 3 on the app.3 votes
It’s the maximum rain intensity. incoming based on the BoM scale of 0 to 15.
It would be nice to be able to select different locations. So if there is a cyclone or something in another part of the country, you can choose to track it if you want.7 votes
You can use the magnifying glass icon on the radar page to view other radars.
You can select the radar location from the radar view page using the little magnifying glass icon , it allows you to jump around Australia also if your location does not show up immediately.
I have thought about adding the ability to set your location to be somewhere else, be really that does not make much sense – it sounds good but after trying it in a development build it is not as useful as it sounds and adds a load of extra complexity.
Rain Parrot has the best weather forecast layout of any Apple Watchkit app. Finally somebody has used appropriately sized fonts! Please include humidity in your Glance and in the summary screen of the main Watch app.6 votes
The watch app now has this :)
Love the app, and love the UI. But the app icon doesn't look great.9 votes
The new icon is here :)
Update your raindar app. Not all the bom stations are listed. Mount Isa is missing from the list.3 votes
Hi, you can press refresh on the Stations screen and it will show with all the views.
Also my Rain Parrot app has the full list of stations, and automatically finds the best one based on your location.
